On behalf of the volunteer coaching staff, boosters, and myself, we would like to THANK YOU for visiting our website and welcome you to our "wrestling family" - "The Eagle Wrestling Family." We are convinced that you have entered into "The toughest and most demanding sport" in youth and high school athletics. Our philosophy is that wrestling is a teacher of life, and we like to think that you will learn an awful lot as you mature both on and off the mat.

In the course of the season your wrestler will develop self-confidence, which will enable him to strive for greater things in life. As a young athlete in the wrestling room, he will go through many challenges, both physical and mental. Together as a family, we will know what it feels like to overcome those challenges, to strive for excellence, and to believe in all our goals and dreams. We will learn what "Eagle Pride" is all about and so much more. When you join this special group of people - you take on responsibility (responsibility to yourself, your teammates, your coaches, your family, and of course, the Maine Eagles).

 

Keep in mind, the people before you have worked hard to establish respect, class, honor, humility, sacrifice, intensity, commitment, dedication, pride, and a tradition of excellence! It is our goal to continue efforts in becoming the best team in the North Chicago Region, Section, and State, and among the best in the nation! All of this is achievable, and we believe it. Therefore, it is your job to do your best so together we may realize this goal each and every year.

 

So as we get ready to begin the season - REMEMBER; THERE ARE NO EASY WAYS IN BECOMING "THE BEST". Make a commitment to focus on all of our dreams, everyday. Keep in mind: Many will say it’s not worth it - many will say you can't - and many will question why? But many will never realize what it's like to have the will of a champion - a will that never quits - a will to choose the more difficult path in life - and a will that sees our dreams unfold in your heart and take shape in your life with sweet memories for all your days (both on and off the mat)! So here's to us - to our unique spirit - and to all that we strive for.
